First-year courses at London Business School are fixed and focus on core competencies. London MBA students learn through lectures (with an average of 75 students per class) and case discussions, supported by tutorials or workshops and in study groups of six or seven. Some themes that carry through the London b-school experience are leadership development and international competency. All students must study and become proficient in a language other than English, and many opt for an international exchange at one of over 30 partner schools. Internships and project work (such as the elective Shadowing Project) bring real-life context to the classroom experience.

Located in London’s Regent’s Park – one of the world’s leading commercial and financial centers – the school benefits from regular visits by top consulting firms and leading senior executives. London itself is an entrepreneurial hotbed and, in terms of cultural opportunities, the city has no equal – theatre, history, diversity and remarkably easy to navigate.
